Copying cycles to create templates

While Small Improvements does not have a customizable template for performance review or 360 feedback cycles, you can copy past cycles to reuse the content. If you’ve set up a questionnaire you’re happy with, use it again and again!

You’ll find the Copy Cycle option on the overview page:

Create a Template Cycle that’s empty of participants to make the setup easier.

Copied cycles are exact copies of the original cycle, so you’ll likely want to make some updates.

We’ll change the cycle title to “Copy of…”, so it’s best to update that.

Update the ‘Time period under review’ as well.

Cycle participants

Copied cycles will have the same participants as the original cycle, so if you’ve hired new employees, you’ll need to add them.

Another thing to consider is your reporting chain. If employees have new managers since the last cycle, you’ll need to update. You can quickly make sure all the reviewers are the employees’ current managers.

The questionnaire and the timeline

You can also adjust the cycle writing and sharing settings and the questionnaire at this point.

And finally, you’ll need to update the timeline. The copied cycles will retain the original cycle’s dates and deadlines, so this is a must!
